A local team, 10 years on Koh Tao, and a simple idea: show the whole island, not just the big names.
Koh Tao Thailand is made on Koh Tao, by people who live here. The story started about 10 years ago, when our founder came to the island to scuba dive, like so many of us, and never really left.
Today the guide includes this website in six languages, the Instagram pages @kohtaothailand, @kohtao.events, @kohtao_restaurants and @kohtao_hotels, and the island's printed tourist map. Everything is built with one goal: help visitors enjoy the real Koh Tao, and help every local business, big or small, be seen.
We created our Koh Tao pages out of love for the island. Koh Tao is small, but it has hundreds of businesses, many of them family-run, and most travellers only ever hear about a handful. We wanted one place where you could find all of it: the dive sites, the beaches, the bakeries, the parties, the clinics and the immigration office.
That's why we collaborate with every company on Koh Tao free of charge on our Instagram pages, and why the A to Z guide lists every business we know, not only the ones that work with us.
In 2025 we printed and distributed 60,000 copies of our Koh Tao tourist map. It shows the beaches, viewpoints and dive sites, and lists the island's businesses, including the micro and small companies that never make it into the big travel guides. You'll find it in resorts, dive centres, cafés and at the piers, and you can browse it online on our interactive island map.

Koh Tao Thailand is run by Odyssea Digital Marketing, a marketing agency based on Koh Tao. "Odyssea" means an adventure through the sea. The agency is an international team that works with diving and water-sports centres, resorts, restaurants, bars and tourism businesses on Koh Tao and across the Gulf of Thailand, from social media to websites, and has delivered more than 960 projects.
Because we live here, the information on this site comes from the island itself: from the businesses, from our own visits and from the dive guides, boat captains and neighbours we see every day. When something changes, tell us and we'll update it.
