The Factory Cafe is an all-vegetarian and vegan wholefoods café, bakery and all-day brunch spot in south Sairee, on the main road. It's the kind of place that draws in far more than just the plant-based crowd, thanks to food that happens to be vegan rather than food that only announces it.
Expect plant-based brunch plates and bowls, an in-house bakery turning out breads and cakes, and proper coffee, all made from scratch. Because the whole menu is meat-free, mixed groups and anyone with allergies can order freely without the usual back-and-forth.
The ethos runs past the plate. The space itself is built from recycled and upcycled materials, which gives it a relaxed, handmade feel and lines up with the sustainability-minded side of Koh Tao.
It's at the south end of Sairee, on the main road, an easy walk from central Sairee and a short ride from the Mae Haad pier.
