If you are travelling solo, celebrating the end of a dive course, or just want an easy night out, the Koh Tao pub crawl is the classic move. It is the simplest way to see Sairee after dark and meet half the island in one evening.
It is a guided bar-hop across Sairee: a group forms at a meeting bar in the early evening, then moves together through several bars over the night, with drink deals, games and a very social crowd. Most crawls come with a wristband or a t-shirt that gets you the deals along the way.
Backpackers, divers who just passed their Open Water, and solo travellers who want company. It is friendly and low-pressure, you can drink at your own pace, and it is the quickest shortcut from arriving alone to having a group to hang out with for the rest of your stay.
Buckets, music, a fire show or two, and a night that usually ends on the beach. Bring only what you need, keep an eye on your drink and your group, and wear something you do not mind getting sandy.
