Açaí bowls, fresh juices and plant-based brunch with a view, next to the yoga shala.
Prana Café is the holistic kitchen of Blue Chitta, on the hillside above Mae Haad, with the same wide view over the bay as the yoga shala next door. It is where yogis and freedivers refuel after class, and where everyone else on the island comes for one of the most colourful breakfasts on Koh Tao.
The menu is fresh, healthy and generous: açaí and smoothie bowls like the Tropical Passion and the Blue Dragon, thick freshly squeezed juices made without ice, smoothies, toasts and avocado toast, brunch plates and light lunches. There are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices, so it is an easy place for every diet.
Prana is also a meeting point. It hosts community dinners and live music evenings, and it is the dining room of Blue Chitta's retreats, so you often share a table with travellers who came to Koh Tao to slow down. The atmosphere is relaxed, barefoot and friendly.
Prana Café is at Blue Chitta in Mae Haad, a few minutes from the pier, so it is also a good first stop when you get off the ferry, or a last breakfast before you leave the island.
